WRITING A GOOD TWEET

curiosity first. point second. no waste. answer objections early.

The Lesson

For tweet threads, invoke curiosity immediately so people will stay with you. Get to the point. They want to know if this is for them before reading far. Don't use wasted words. Multiply this rule by three for tweets. The strongest and least obvious trick: anticipate objections exactly at the moment they occur in the reader's mind, then answer them immediately. This keeps readers engaged because you're addressing their internal dialogue in real-time.

Real-World Example

A founder writes a thread about their unconventional hiring process. First tweet: 'We stopped doing interviews. Here's what happened.' (Curiosity invoked). Second tweet: 'Yes, this sounds crazy. But interviews predict nothing.' (Objection anticipated). Third tweet: the actual point. No wasted words, objections handled as they arise. Engagement is 10x their usual because readers feel understood.
