LEVELS OF AWARENESS
“innocent → truther → victim → skeptic → strategist → author.”
The Lesson
Six levels of awareness: (1) Innocent. You believe authority (parents, Santa). (2) Truther. You believe facts matter most. But this makes you a (3) Victim. Because leaders control what 'facts' you see. (4) Skeptic. You reject assigned opinions, but that's limited utility. (5) Strategist. You don't know what's true, but you know what works. (6) Author. You appear to change reality itself. Trump, Naval Ravikant, Mike Cernovich operate at author level. When a truther debates a strategist, they're not having the same conversation. One cares about facts, the other about what works. Know what level you're at.
Real-World Example
A founder at truther level argues with an investor at strategist level. Founder: 'The data clearly shows our market is huge.' Investor: 'Doesn't matter what's true. What positioning will work to raise the next round?' They're talking past each other. The founder thinks facts win. The investor knows strategy wins. Neither is wrong. They're at different levels of awareness.
