The Lesson
A friend stood outside in brutal cold wearing short sleeves, completely comfortable. His reframe from a mushroom trip: cold is just sensors talking to your brain, not something to escape. You can acknowledge the signal without suffering from it. My reframe that works: 'This is a free cryo chamber making me healthier.' Cryo chambers are expensive and uncomfortable but have health benefits. Now when it's 48 degrees, I feel the cold but it feels like it's making me stronger. Perfectly comfortable in weather that should be miserable. Try it-like the sneeze cure, it sounds impossible until it works.
Real-World Example
A founder dreads their walk from parking garage to office in winter. They try the reframe: 'Free cryo therapy. This is making me healthier.' First day: still cold. Second day: cold feels different-purposeful rather than punishing. By week two, they're comfortable in temperatures that used to ruin their morning.
